3ways to join us: permanent with the firm, your own company, or a local umbrella

How you can join us

Three ways to join us. Permanent with the firm, or independent.

Most of our consultants are permanently employed by us and deliver our engagements with our clients. Some prefer to stay independent and work with us through their own company. Either way you stay in your own country if that is where you want to be, and the contract type is never the reason a good consultant misses good work.

01

A permanent role with us

You join the firm as one of our consultants on a permanent employment contract, and you deliver our engagements with our clients. We can employ you in your own country, in over 120 countries, so joining us does not mean relocating or setting up a company. Salary, local statutory benefits, and the security of a career here between engagements.

02

As an associate consultant through your own company

Many experienced specialists prefer to stay independent. We engage your company business-to-business on a day rate for a defined engagement, with clear scope and invoices paid to terms.

03

Freelance through a local umbrella

Where local rules make an independent contract awkward, we engage you through a compliant umbrella or agency of record so you can start on the engagement quickly.

We can employ consultants compliantly in over 120 countries, so living somewhere other than the client’s office is normal here rather than an exception.

The work

Projects with clients building the future of finance.

Asset managers, insurers, pension funds, banks, exchanges and digital-asset platforms. Real platform programmes with budget and a board watching, not support tickets and not a bench.

Delivery team at work

Dimension to SimCorp One migrations

Migration planning, data lift, parallel running and cutover inside asset managers, insurers and pension funds.

New asset classes and entities

Onboarding private markets, derivatives and new fund structures onto a live platform.

IBOR, data and reconciliation

Instrument, position and accounting data flows, and the reconciliations that expose what is really wrong.

Front office and NOMA

Order management, compliance rules and workflow configuration for desks that feel every defect.

Reporting and regulatory build

Client, board and regulatory reporting built on platform data rather than around it.

Upgrades, run and support

Release testing, defect triage, second and third line, with a documented handover instead of hero dependency.

Remote, hybrid or onsite

We are honest about this in the first conversation, because nothing wastes a consultant’s time faster than a “remote” role that turns out to be four days onsite.

  • Fully remote

A large share of our SimCorp, Aladdin, Charles River, Calypso and Finastra work is delivered remotely across time zones.

  • Hybrid

Two or three days with the client team when the programme needs the room, remote the rest of the week.

  • Onsite

Cutovers, go-lives and workshops where being in the building genuinely matters. Travel and accommodation covered.

  • Short or long

From a four-week regression-test push to multi-year platform programmes with extensions.

Distributed team call

Our practices

SimCorp first, and the platforms around it.

SimCorp is our deepest practice. Aladdin, Charles River, Calypso and Finastra sit alongside it, and many of our consultants move between them as projects change.

Why join us

  • 01

You join a practice, not a bench

You work alongside consultants who know the platform as well as you do, on engagements we have won because of that depth. Your first conversation here is with someone who has done the work.

  • 02

    Straight answers on the engagement

Client, scope, level, location reality and duration up front, before you spend an hour on a call.

  • 03

Employment that works wherever you live

A compliant local employment contract in your own country, local payroll and statutory benefits, or a clean B2B contract paid to terms. No offshore intermediaries.

  • 04

    A career, not one engagement

Most of our consultants move straight onto a second engagement with us, and grow into lead and client-facing roles as our practices grow.

Our values

Four things we hold ourselves to.

01

We only take work we can deliver

We do not put a consultant on an engagement that does not match what they actually do. That is why our people roll onto second and third engagements with the same clients.

02

Straight answers, early

Client, scope, level, location reality and duration in the first conversation, not after three interviews.

03

Specialists talking to specialists

Everyone you speak to here knows what NOMA, an IBOR and a parallel run are. You never have to translate your own CV.

04

Paid properly, wherever you live

Compliant local employment or a clean B2B contract, local payroll and statutory benefits, invoices paid to terms.

FAQ

Questions consultants ask us

I do not live where the client is. Does that rule me out?

Usually not. We can employ you in your own country and you deliver the engagement from there, or we engage your own company. Where the engagement needs onsite time we cover travel.

Can I keep working through my own limited company?

Yes. Business-to-business day-rate contracts are one of the most common ways we engage consultants, alongside local employment and umbrella arrangements.

Are the roles remote?

Many are fully remote, some are hybrid and a few are onsite for good reasons such as cutover weekends. We tell you which before you interview.

What do you pay?

Salary or day rate depends on the platform, your level, your location and whether you join us permanently or as an associate, so we will not pretend a single number exists. We will tell you the band for a specific opportunity on the first call.

Is this a permanent job or a contract?

Both exist, and the permanent option is a permanent role with us. You are employed by Tech Heads, in your own country, and you deliver our engagements with our clients. When one engagement ends you move to the next one with us rather than going back on the market. If you would rather stay independent, we engage your own company on a day rate instead.

I am not looking right now. Is it worth talking?

Yes. SimCorp, Aladdin, Charles River, Calypso and Finastra specialists are scarce enough that we plan our engagements months ahead. Get in touch and we will come to you when a project genuinely fits.
