What you would actually be doing.
Every investment firm is trying to get one version of position, transaction and performance data. You build it, on a modern stack, with the platform as a source rather than a black box.
On a typical engagement
- Build pipelines from platform, custodian and market data sources
- Model investment data in a warehouse or lakehouse
- Deliver data products for reporting, risk and client teams
- Automate quality, lineage and reconciliation checks
- Work with platform consultants on the source side
What you bring
- Data engineering with SQL plus Python or Scala
- Snowflake, Databricks, dbt, Azure or AWS experience
- Investment data domain knowledge
- Testing and orchestration discipline
- Interest in the business meaning of the data, not just the pipeline
