The work
What you would actually be doing.
Accounting is where platform programmes are won or lost. You own the ABOR side: chart of accounts, valuation rules, income and fee treatment, month end and the reconciliations that expose whatever nobody wanted to look at. Clients bring us in precisely because this part cannot be improvised.
On a typical engagement
- Design and configure accounting, valuation and NAV workflows in Dimension or SimCorp One
- Model instruments and fund structures the platform has never seen at that client
- Fix income, fee, tax and corporate action treatment properly rather than with journals
- Build the month end and reporting cycle with the client team
- Support parallel runs and sign off the numbers with finance
What you bring
- Investment accounting knowledge (IFRS, local GAAP or fund accounting)
- Hands-on SimCorp accounting configuration
- Reconciliation and month end delivery experience
- Comfortable challenging a client when the data says something else
- Audit or controls exposure is a plus
