About the Role

As a Senior Mendix Developer, you’ll join a dynamic team of product owners, architects, and engineers working in a SAFe/Agile environment. Your mission will be to develop and maintain Mendix applications that contribute directly to business and customer success. Working closely with IT and business colleagues, you’ll translate user requirements into smart, scalable Mendix solutions while mentoring junior developers and ensuring the highest standards of quality, security, and performance.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Application Development: Build, enhance, and maintain Mendix applications to support the Large-Scale Consumption & Networks value chain.
• Collaborative Problem Solving: Work with IT and business teams to translate user requirements into innovative solutions.
• Team Leadership: Mentor junior developers, manage projects, and oversee the full lifecycle of Mendix applications.
• Technical Expertise: Ensure applications meet high standards of security, performance, and scalability, utilizing REST integrations, DevOps principles, and UX/UI best practices.
• Release Management: Plan and coordinate releases while proactively addressing the impact of changes on the application landscape.
• Agile Collaboration: Participate in Scrum/SAFe activities during in-office collaboration days in Den Bosch, fostering team synergy and innovation.

What You’ll Need

• Experience:
  • 5+ years of Mendix development experience, with a focus on enhancing existing applications.
  • Proven track record of translating business requirements into software solutions.
  • Expertise in full lifecycle management of Mendix applications.
  • Familiarity with technologies like REST integrations, DevOps, HTML/CSS, and Mobile (PWA) development.
• Skills:
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to oversee the impact of changes across application landscapes and respond proactively.
  • Exceptional leadership and mentoring abilities to guide junior developers.
  • Collaboration with business and operational teams to drive innovation.
• Languages:
  • Proficiency in English (Dutch is a plus).
