About the Role
As an SAP PPM & PS Specialist, you’ll be responsible for the setup, optimization, and maintenance of project and portfolio management systems during the transition to SAP S4HANA. Your focus will be on enabling seamless integration between SAP PPM, PS, and FI/CO while ensuring all workflows, financial planning, and resource allocations are efficiently managed.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
SAP Portfolio and Project Management (PPM):
- Set up and manage project and portfolio hierarchies, ensuring seamless prioritization and resource allocation.
- Maintain and optimize financial planning processes within PPM, integrating with SAP FI/CO.
- Configure workflows and approval processes to streamline operations.
- Develop and deliver portfolio reporting for tracking and analyzing performance.
SAP Project Systems (PS):
- Establish Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) for efficient project management.
- Manage cost and revenue planning, including budgeting and forecasting.
- Oversee integration points between SAP PS and modules like FI/CO, MM, and SD.
- Perform periodic closing activities such as results analysis and settlements.
- Utilize SAP reporting tools for in-depth project analysis and control.
What You’ll Need
- Experience: At least 5 years of demonstrable experience with SAP PPM and PS applications.
- Expertise: Deep knowledge of portfolio management, project planning, budgeting, and financial integration.
- Technical Know-How: Familiarity with SAP FI/CO and understanding of workflow configurations.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with a proactive and customer-oriented mindset.
- Communication Skills: Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
- Teamwork & Independence: Capability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
