What you would actually be doing.
Compliance rules are where regulation meets code. You translate mandates, prospectuses and regulation into rules that behave correctly at 200 orders a minute, and you can explain every one of them to a regulator.
On a typical engagement
- Author and test pre trade and post trade compliance rules
- Translate mandates and regulation into testable logic
- Rationalise rule libraries that have grown for a decade
- Investigate false positives and breaches with the compliance team
- Document rules to an audit standard
What you bring
- CRD compliance module rule authoring at depth
- Regulatory knowledge (UCITS, 40 Act, mandate monitoring)
- Analytical, precise, evidence driven approach
- Ability to work with compliance officers and auditors
- Testing discipline
